T. H.
Roberts (1961- present)
"Fly Fishing the James River," 2003,
15 x 30 inches, oil on canvas
Private Collection
This plein air painting captures
the beauty of the James River. While this painting was being
created, a fly fisherman quietly worked the river bank on the right.
Roberts' fisherman blends into the picture in harmony with the nature
around him. Incidentally, this painting was painted by Roberts while
his father painted his own entirely different picture.
